On the 19th of July, 1919, the Peace Day Victory procession made its way across Westminster Bridge in London, marking the end of the First World War. Among the various contingents participating in the grand celebration were the American soldiers and troops, who had played a significant role in the war efforts. Dressed in their uniforms and carrying their flags, they marched proudly, their faces reflecting a sense of accomplishment and relief. The bridge, adorned with banners and flags, was a sea of colors as the procession made its way towards Trafalgar Square. The people of London and the world came out in large numbers to celebrate the victory and the end of the devastating war that had claimed millions of lives.
